It's such an exciting and busy time of the year! I know my kids just completed their first quarter of school for the year, the time is simply flying. We have several resources and upcoming events or deadlines to share with you.
Family-School Partnership
- Family-School Partnership certificates of achievement are due October 31, please get those in, we want to celebrate your accomplishments!d I will be attaching the worksheet, but you can also submit it electronically by clicking HERE.
Ohio PTA Fall Virtual Conference
- Join us October 23 from 9-1 EST for a morning filled with amazing workshops, see the flyer for more information and to get registered!
Reflections
- Our Reflections program has been live at the state level since early September! Please head over to www.ohiopta.org/reflections to see all the resources you need to launch your program, it's not too late! I am going to attach a flier titled Reflections at a Glance, while it is important to read over all the materials, this gives you some easy-to-access basics.
Membership Dues deadline and Incentives
- Just a friendly reminder that your first membership dues payment has to be received by November 30, please reach out to office@ohiopta.org or support@memberhub.com if you are having difficulty with doing this via MemberHub. I am attaching a copy of our monthly membership incentives just in case you didn't know about these!
Achievement Award
- Our form has recently been updated, so I am attaching it below for your convenience. In case you didn't know, this award is to recognize leaders in PTA for their outstanding service and all funds go directly to our annual scholarship program.

Virtual Mathematics Symposium Tentative Session Schedule
- Ohio is launching a Strengthening Ohio High School Mathematics Pathways Initiative this fall to be implemented in the 2022-2023 school year. This initiative addresses new guidance around what courses can be considered Algebra 2 equivalent and how the new pathways lead to postsecondary success. The new pathways were designed with a focus on equity, rigor, relevance, coherence, and flexibility. This event is on November 9th and 19th, see attached flyer for more details and to get registered.
The Cook Young Scholars Program
- The Cooke Young Scholars Program is a selective five-year, pre-college scholarship for high-performing 7th-grade students with financial needs. It provides comprehensive academic and college advising, as well as financial support for the school, Cooke-sponsored summer programs, internships, music/art lessons, hard and software needs, and other learning enrichment opportunities that are specific to the student.
- This year the application opens in early February and will close in May. Online presentations are being offered about the scholarship program now, and once the application opens, they will offer application workshops for families. The entire application will be reviewed in these workshops, as a way to offer support as they are working to complete it.

Ohio Lottery Partners in Education
- Ohio Lottery Partners in Education have been recognizing students and teachers for years, each month 1 teacher and 1 student is nominated and will win some prizes. See attached flyer for more details.
