Racial Equity Workshops for Parents & Caregivers
Did you know? Children can recognize race-based differences as early as 6 months old and can internalize racial bias by ages 2-4. Talking about racial equity with kids can be difficult, but it’s essential. And we’re here to help!
Join us! The Children’s Museum of Cleveland and Dr. Heather Hill of Parenting for Equity & Social Justice are hosting Racial Equity Workshops for Parents this Fall. These workshops will provide a safe and judgement-free environment where parents and caregivers can learn from an expert, ask questions, engage in dialogue, and even practice some new skills.
Who is this workshop designed for? Our racial equity programs are designed to support families of all racial and socioeconomic backgrounds on their educational journey. This workshop expands on the information covered in our Let's Talk toolkit.
If you are new to CMC's racial equity resources, or have engaged with the Let's Talk toolkit but want to engage more, this workshop is for you! If you have participated in our Parent & Caregiver Learning Community meetings with CSU, you may have covered this information already. |
