Dear PTA Leaders,
Pursuant to Ohio PTA Bylaws, Article XIII:
Section 1. The Board of Directors shall determine the number of districts and their geographical boundaries.
Section 2. Upon consideration of redistricting, the areas that will be affected shall be notified by the Ohio PTA for input at least sixty days prior to a final decision being reached by the Ohio PTA Board of Directors.
The Ohio PTA Board of Directors recommends restructuring the current territories of Ohio PTA and changing the name from districts to regions. In doing so, we hope to make field service for all Ohio PTA members more equitable. While board members may be concentrated in only a few areas of the state, this redistribution plan allows for the entire state to be equally served. With electronic tools to connect with our units and councils, the business of Ohio PTA can continue.
