Helping Hand and T in PTA Awards
Ohio PTA offers regional awards for your units and councils to recognize individuals that exemplify the PTA mission. If your unit is part of a council - please work with your council on the deadline for your nominee because most councils pick a council winner that is then forwarded to the Region by March 15th, 2023. If your unit is a non-council unit- the deadline for submission is March 15th, 2023. It is important to meet the criteria of the 2 awards and to keep to the word limit. Please do not forward to the Region "a winner" that is a group- this must be an individual. Please contact your Region Advisor if you have questions. Both forms are attached for your convenience. Please submit the council winner and unit winner( if you are not part of a council) to the following Region Advisors:

Ohio PTA Scholarships applications are OPEN!
High school seniors can apply for one of 3 types of Ohio PTA scholarships- Academic, Special Education, and Post Secondary/Technical Certification. You can find the scholarships on the Ohio PTA website in paper form OR you can promote to your seniors/ parents, through the electronic links below. The deadline is March 1st, 2023!

The 2023 Debbie Tidwell Everyday Advocate Award
Awarded to one individual who most exemplifies the qualities that made one of PTA’s greatest child advocate leaders, past Ohio PTA President Deb Tidwell. Debbie was a true advocate for all children. She loved PTA and advocacy work. She was a hard-working and compassionate leader who was dedicated to moving Ohio PTA and its leaders forward and committed to ensuring that others would follow.
She is remembered as a passionate and dedicated advocate for children through the PTA. Debbie enjoyed volunteering her time on countless committees, serving as a past President of the Ohio PTA, and was the Treasurer for the Friends of the Fairview Park Schools Committee. This award is to celebrate the legacy Debbie created within the Ohio PTA.
Requirements:
1. Has applied for the Ohio PTA Advocacy award in the past 5 years and this year
2. Completes the application and submit by March 1st, 2023
3. A member of a unit in good standing with Ohio PTA
