This 2017-18 school year, the Cuyahoga County Opiate Task Force in partnership with Ohio PTA is launching an amazing opportunity for schools to improve their drug awareness and mental health education efforts for students and parents. It's called
D.E.S.C. - Drug Education School Challenge Award. This award is aimed at helping keep our children healthy and safe by publicly recognizing schools that exemplify the most outstanding drug education prevention programs directed at students and parents.
Even if your school filled out a DESC survey in the fall---- you must fill out a DESC application. The school recipient will be recognized at Ohio PTA Convention in April and featured in an issue of The Ohio PTA Voice and receive a monetary award.
