PTA TAKE ACTION ALERT!

The gun violence epidemic continues to plague our nation’s communities, children and families. More must be done immediately to protect our nation’s most vulnerable populations. Time is of the essence and we ask that you send a letter to your Members of Congress urging them to enact sensible gun safety and violence prevention policies that will help keep children safe and sound.

Sending a letter is easy and only takes a minute or two! All you need to do is CLICK HERE to send a letter to your Members of Congress. Once you enter your information into the system, a pre-written, editable letter will come up, ready to send to the appropriate Members of Congress with the click of a mouse.

National PTA is committed to federal efforts to protect children and youth from gun violence and believes Congress must enact legislation that will help prevent future tragedies from occurring while preserving the lawful use of firearms for sport and personal protection.

Thank you for taking the time to take action by contacting your Members of Congress, and please also take a moment to share this action alert in your schools and communities via the links below. We appreciate your continued support to protect all children from gun violence!

Sincerely,

Ohio PTA Director of Advocacy

Encourage Congress to Increase Federal CCDBG Funding

Encourage Congress to Increase Federal CCDBG Funding
Federal funds play a critical role in supporting early learning in Ohio--about 20% of Ohio's child care funding comes from the federal Child Care Development Block Grant (CCDBG) and Congress is currently considering an increase to that fund, which could significantly benefit Ohio's littlest learners.

We encourage you to elevate the importance of federal investments in early learning with your US Representative (look up your representative here) and Senators Brown and Portman by sending a letter expressing your support for increased CCDBG funding.  Simply download our letter template, fill in the highlighted fields, and drop it in the mail!
